Probabilistic Short Circuit Analysis in Electric Power Distribution Systems including Distributed Generation
چکیده
Abstract
The paper presents a probabilistic approach based on a Monte Carlo technique for the evaluation of the probability density function of three phase short-circuit currents in a distribution network with distributed generations. The proposed approach takes into account all the major uncertainties affecting the magnitude of the fault currents: power load demands, network configurations, fault location, fault impedance, fault type and power productions from distributed generators. In particular, in this paper is analyzed the contribution of the distributed generation both in pre-fault operating conditions and during the fault. Numerical applications are also presented and discussed with reference to a three-phase balanced distribution system including wind farms and a small hydroelectric power plant.
